The maize market
Worldwide, over 900 million tonnes of maize are produced each year. Maize is the most widely grown cereal in the world ahead of wheat and rice (with a volume of about 700 million tonnes each).
In Europe, the largest maize production region is the South West of France. Indeed, thanks to the soil, the weather conditions and rainfall during the summer farmers naturally get very good yields.
The maize market is very volatile. By positioning ourselves in close contact with our maize producers we can follow the market on a daily basis and transfer any price variations as quickly and as fairly as possible.
